At the Talking Water Project we hope to share the many ways that we and our friends use art to inspire, challenge and leads us to places of reflection about our relationship with water. It is with excitement, therefore, that we share the following art project, A Sad Sort of Clean:
Date: Fri, 05/03/2013 – Sun, 06/30/2013
“A Sad Sort of Clean: Hydropower in Northern Manitoba” is an exhibit featuring photos of people and waterways at the far end of the transmission line. The exhibit, put on by the Interchurch Council on Hydropower, features photos and videos created by Matt Sawatzky and Cree elder Ellen Cook.
It opens at the Flatlanders Studio, 782 Main St on May 3 from 7-10pm. The exhibit will be up until the end of June. Regular hours are 1-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays (closed May 25-26).
To host the exhibit at your church or event after June, contact Will Braun (email@example.com/204-822-8288).
